Hypercubes, starting from dimension 0 up to dimension 6
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Hypercube rotations for dimension 0 up to 6 (point, line, cube, tesseract, penteract and sexteract). No extra transformations were applied, just rotations. Of course, this is not really 4D, this is a projection of a higher dimension into a 3D vector space that is itself projected into 2D for you to see it in your screen. The beautiful music is by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Source code is not yet available.

i likey all the way up to 20

6D is super big
-
worthless video. thumbs down.
-
until i meet a 4 dimensional being i wont believe you
-
is it weird that i can easily comprehend all of these motions AM I AN ALIEN

To put to rest all the mysticism in the comments: There's nothing special about 3D coordinates aside from the fact that we live in a 3D universe. Mathematically, this seems arbitrary. Plain old Euclidean geometry works fine in dimensions greater than 3. Just because it is hard to envision a 4D cube, or 6D cube for that matter, does not make it any more mysterious than the familiar 3D cube. We can still calculate their properties quite nicely.

Which program did you use for this?

A 2D creature would be like "Argh the 3D hypercube is hurting my head!"

Whatta trip

This wrinkled my brain....

I did a 4th dimensional wire frame program for my last project for my BS degree back in the mid 1980s, on some early clone PCs. I did some clipping algorithms, and staring at this for hours and hours back then I started to develop some basic notion of 4-D space and how the objects should look, it was very weird. I recall relating what I wanted to do to the first project adviser, and the idiot said it was impossible. I found another adviser of course. Now this stuff is commonly done.

so... are we in the 4 dimension right now?
-
геометрия красивая, а теперь, кто скажет мне трек?
-
NO, NO NO NO STOP. I'VE HAD ENOUGH. OH GOD NO.
-
Sacred geometry is truth!
-
What about 4d spheres, or hyper spheres, or whatever they would be called. Ouch

Music Name please?
