This is a short astronomy documentary, created from images and visualizations from the Hubble Space Telescope. A lovely video with images from NASA and ESA The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) is a space telescope that was launched into low Earth orbit in 1990 and remains in operation. With a 2.4-meter (7.9 ft) mirror, Hubble's four main instruments observe in the near ultraviolet, visible, and near infrared spectra. The telescope is named after the astronomer Edwin Hubble. Hubble's orbit outside the distortion of Earth's atmosphere allows it to take extremely high-resolution images with almost no background light. Hubble has recorded some of the most detailed visible-light images ever, allowing a deep view into space and time. Many Hubble observations have led to breakthroughs in astrophysics, such as accurately determining the rate of expansion of the universe. Although not the first space telescope, Hubble is one of the largest and most versatile, and is well known as both a vital research tool and a public relations boon for astronomy. The HST was built by the United States space agency NASA, with contributions from the European Space Agency, and is operated by the Space Telescope Science Institute. The HST is one of NASA's Great Observatories, along with the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory, the Chandra X-ray Observatory, and the Spitzer Space Telescope.[5] Join me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/spaceisamazing Twitter: https://twitter.com/AmazingSpace2 Google+ : http://goo.gl/1WCBn9

I wonder if Earth is considered the ghetto of the galaxy..if intelligent life have come here what else can they think?
-
1:38 what is that???
-
I feel love and i would like to share it.
Love is what keeps everything going on. -
i love it , makes me feel more real
-
i can fix the earth.. if only i have my original bodysuit... if i dont get my bodysuit, earth will slowly ,move to closer to mars... so equatorial will be colder... 16 Celsius...

4:12 looks like my marble countertop

gooooooooooood

thanks. wonderful pictures. how many light years away were we seeing. I wonder
-
oh . its amazing .

Intelligent design? Hmmmm . . . . Perhaps, most likely not.
I imagine if there could be some designer of this universe, and I don't believe there could be, that designer, probably a god of some sort in the form of a whale, Flipper the Dolphin, or an ape-like deity, could ever have existed in this universe. This designer would have to be outside of the universe. However, at this point in time, nothing from outside the universe, even if it manifested itself into being while passing into the universe from the outside, the expanding universe prevents us from ever seeing it, or it seeing us. The ever expanding and ever receding edge of the universe, coupled with the speed of light limit, prevents our ever coming together again. As far as we know. Our light can't reach them, and theirs can't reach us.
Though we may find some way to bend space-time so that we can slip between the cracks to essentially teleport from one place to another, the edge of the universe may still be beyond us, and we beyond them. But this would be a human-designed and produced device, not god given.
The point being, even with the most wishful thinking, it would be impossible to receive information from some grand designer man. There are no god signals from beyond. Even a god would have to obey the physics of this world while in it.
I like a more mechanical hypothesis. You see, what if there were trillions of designers? Not just one tiresome grand old wizard of the ages. Picture a trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion, more than we can imagine, intelligent machines all busying themselves with the task of creating and manipulating our universe. Which infers, they've got to be in one bigger universe. A very practical situation if one wanted to create smaller sized universes to work on. And then, why not other larger universes. Universes within universes. There's no reason think it couldn't be never ending. Maybe one day we'll create a little universe within our universe. Yes. We'll put it in this piece of jewelry on this necklace. But we'd have to start with something smaller, like a moon. How many robots would it take to do that?
Hmmmm . . . both ideas are pretty far fetched. Not a shred of evidence for either. In fact, there's quite a bit of evidence against both. The only legitimate idea is making a moon. We could probably do that. I wouldn't mind seeing another moon in the sky. Several. A light purple one would be great. -
So glad they didn't junk the Hubble years ago like they wanted to.....

WE as humans are so VERY SMALL... Nice job on the film, thanks.

Im fascinated by star clusters even around bigger galaxies they seem be immune to the gravity dance of nearby galaxies. Some may not have black holes at their core, the orbits so balanced and close and all in a precise orbits over billion of years. Immensely old maybe as old as the universe. Some are made of the golden stars massive stars of all the same type very old and stable. If I was looking for life I would direct my search to nearest cluster. If we survive we have to find a way to avoid our demise in 5 billion years am train wreck and we have a front seat tickets. If we last that long. We wont survive andromeda collision hot million degree gases and new star formation will take our spot. Clocks ticking and man as he is can not travel to another star. we must leave the galaxy before the merge it might block us from doing anything.

wow am i crazy or does any one else see the dude holding the spear at 3.32 looks like a greek god holding a spear at the top off that amazing space cloud
