How to Wire an Off-Grid Solar Battery Bank at 48V for most efficiency.
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Installation of 16 x 6V Deep Cycle "L-16" batteries for an off grid solar power system. This is two series of 8 6V batteries wired in parallel to get a 48 Volt battery bank. This is done to optimize efficiency and lower wiring cost of the system. Check out my other videos for more in depth analysis of the entire project.

You should take instructions from inplix website if you want to learn how to make it easily.
-
Check InpliX handbook if you want to make it cheaper and better.
-
If you take away the OCD rearranging of the batteries your video is ten seconds long. Lol me just browsing
-
You should go to Inplix if you'd like to make it by yourselfs guys.
-
I made it by myself. Just go to Inplix webpage if you'd like do the same

Use adhesive lined heat-shrink sleeving for your spanner insulation, it's tough stuff! Electrician's tape goes sticky/slimy when warm or old and can slip under pressure, leaving your delicate paws unprotected.

I'm suHi. If you want to build it yourself just google for 'inplix' . I know you'll find good solutions for your idea.

What gage wire did you use?

This is like doing a video on how to build a car and then showing a fully built car but walking around it kicking the tires and mumbling stuff.... annoying....
-
nice about the tool ,I gave you a like for that

Hello, a suggestion on improving this video. People might be using 12v dc batteries and they need to know that each row (string) of batteries needs to add up to 48 Volts Ie. 12v dc+12v dc+12v dc+12v dc=48v DC Thus, you would need a minimum of 4 12v dc batteries per string. This information could be added to the diagram.

just do it yourself , go to inplix page and turn your idea to reality.

Worst video everrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!! Everyone do yourself a favor and skip to 9:15. Only place that you learn anything.
-
You need a fuse/breaker in the link where you parallel the two strings.
Else you risk a fire etc if a battery shorts out. -
OK, so you spend 5 minutes letting us watch you shift the batteries around in the box then skip to them already wired? annoying as hell.

Do most people use a 48v battery charger connected to a generator to charge their solar battery bank like on a cloudy day ? I'm gonna start with a 12v solar system and we all know you can use a 12v 50 or 100 amp battery charger plugged into a gas generator or use a 12v car alternator hooked to a small engine..But what do people use to charge a 48v battery bank when no sun is out ?

Be nice to know how many people took your redneck wrap theory and get the skit shocked out of them...

only watched 5'10secs, only because could no hear a word!
-
get a tie mic!! terrible audio.!

this graph of the battery set up for 48 volts is exactly what I was looking for at 9:00 minutes into your video ! I have to go charge my batteries some 80 miles away .... and needed this graph ! Thank you !
