I got an immersive Virtual reality headset (plastic) made by thumbsup! was given it for free by my brother but everytime i put my oneplus one phone into it the spring loaded grips for holding the phone in place press too hard and switch off my phone!!! talk about a major design flaw completely overlooked. Any one know of a workaround for example an app to temp disable the power buttons etc ??

I had a android which didn't come with a gyroscope so I was really pissed off but then for Christmas I got a iPod 6 and now it works so yeah

You can't use just any phone. I'm surprised you didn't mention this, but you need a phone with a gyroscope. Many midrange phones don't have these so you're out of luck if you happen to be one of those people. You can always root your device and download apps that tricks your phone into thinking it has a gyroscope though.
