How on Earth is a 17-50mm f/2.8 an ENTRY-LEVEL lens?!?!?!
-
Did I missed something or you didn't explain how to shoot the milky way and went straight to editing.....
-

"Let's just add.... just because it's me, a little bit of magenta" lol, I love Mr. Magenta! Great video Serge!

Light pollution and Moon phases are predictable but is there any clouds-removal website ;) You have to wait sometimes for month to shoot :)
-

so 2.8 is actually very big aperture... who's learning from who here?
-
What if I use iso 100 yet make the shuterspeed so much longer
-
It's a great tutorial and very good photos but as for the lens it's not cheap at all , this is fast and sharp lens with starting price of $1500

Didn't learn a thing from this video except how to stitch photos and just advertisements. For a 20min video, i expected a lot more editing on the milky way not just temp and noise reduction. :(

a star trails video would be amazing
-

-
nothing but an infomercial for this software.

Does this work with the D5000?

Hi, i saw your video on how to shoot and retouch the Milky Way. I had few questions.
1) is it mandatory to shoot on new moon day ?
2) How far does one need to away from the city in order to avoid light pollution ?
I have a Canon 5D mark iii with 24-105 lens f4--5.6, any suggestions what settings would be good to shoot with the gear I have.
I stay in India, Lat- 18.515401, Lon - 73.875356
Your guidance will be really appreciated since i am having a burning desire to shoot the milky way.
