I've visited several makerspace in various states. The space featured in this video looks nicer, in terms of size, lighting, cleanliness and equipment, than most makerspaces of its size do.
I've wanted to have a makerspace by my home for several years, but my efforts are stymied by a lack of public interest. I brought up the issue to the Robotics Club at my junior college, but the officers said they would just use the makerspace that's a 40-minute drive from us. Another group recently started a small makerspace near us; it's only four main rooms and 100+ members, but it has some potential. -
