Thanks for the advice 7X50 for me!
-
Thank you very much, I bought 8 by 42 binoculars. I hope I can see some good sky

Hi, I'm considering getting a pair of 10x50s to start astronomy, but since one of the big advantages of binoculars is the field of view given by two lenses are they still a good option for someone like me who is basically blind in one eye?
-
I prefer 10x50's they are a good middle ground between large tripod mounted binoculars and compact handheld binoculars.

I'd love to visit your shop but I'm in Atlanta. Great tips! I've thought about buying a telescope for years but I think I'm going the route of binoculars. You may not see quite as much but it's quick and easy. There's a lot to be said for simplicity.

2:45 is that beast in the background a telescope? ??

Apologies for being pedantic but I believe that the highest light transmission of production binoculars are for the 7x50 Fujinon FMTR porro prisms at a staggering 95%. Regretably they have individual eye focusing. The next highest, to my knowledge are for Nikon's Special Edition porros at 94%. Premium roof prisms reach about 91% to the best of my knowledge. These are very expensive for porros (being an easier design to implement). Having said that I'd kill for a pair of Zeiss Victories...!

Hi Does all your Large Orion Astronomy Binoculars got been through Laser Quality Control Test before release out from Factory! Just like Carl Zeiss. Type this to Youtube: ZEISS VICTORY HT - The brightest premium binoculars in the world. Why yours always got alignment issue? Everytime see through your Binoculars got Double image. Why 1 stars can become 2 Stars, & 10 stars become 20 Stars?

Is there any Exit Pupil Amplification in the Telescope or Binoculars market? Just like Digital camera has lense digital Amplification too. Is that u means, Bigger magnification Eyepieces 66deg/40x=1.65deg FOV. Also plus your Exit pupil will also drop down from 80mm Lense size/40x = 2mm Exit pupil left. Is that correct? 2mm Exit pupil + 1.65deg FOV left? "How to see it in that way?"

2 eyes are better than one, especially when you are looking for a date.
-
You can see Jupiter with your naked eyes...

Ask around. Ask your friends, neighbors, work colleagues. They may have a pair of binoculars they have had for years, but never used them. They may be happy to get $20 for them. Don't be too picky about the size. Just buy something and start sky watching. Otherwise, you may never start or miss sky events that won't happen again until next year.
-
Are there photographs of examples of what we can see with different binocular sizes?
-
You think 10x50 can see Planet Jupiter? Are u a Joker in Youtube!
-
for star gazing, if your budget is under then 300USD, then get a binocular, for more than 300USD, then you can get yourself a good telescope. for starting astronomy binocular, you can get celestron skymaster 10x50 or 15x70 or even 25x100 but must have a good tripod.
-
dont buy zoom binoculars, they tend to have "problems" rather buy fixed maginfication binoculars
-
