My only issue is this: we admit we know next to nothing about subjects like this, but then we posit that certain types of orbit are either not possible or are dangerously unstable. How do we know? Everyday we're learning things about far nearer celestial bodies (jovian moons, comets etc) that are blowing away previous notions about how they work. Wouldn't it be less arrogant to just say "We think these types of orbits won't work because...." instead of "Yeah, this type of orbit is really bad and can't work long time"?
