Did this require a permit and inspection?
I got the satellite view from before the installation. It will be interesting to compare before and after when G.E. catches up. -
OH&S perhaps. No rails on the roof or arrest harnesses... Caught on camera

Roughly how much % of your electrical demand is met by these solar panels?
-
Good soundtrack!

Et voila! It is installed!

Just reposting what I posted on the eevblog comment section:
Have you done some statistics about the production/consume of energy and so on?
Would be interesting to know.
How many time during the year do you have to clean the panels from dust etc. or is a powerful rain enough to keep it clean to improve efficiency? -
Watched it again so I could see that cordless drill slowly slide down the panels.... wondering how slowly it must have been sliding in real time but still too lazy to do the math to work it out.

Better get that Maximum Power Point Tracking going on. Or is it too much work for your purposes?
-
do they allow you to sell back and store in banks or is it either one or the other?

I read in the editorial for March 2015 Silicon Chip that if there's a blackout in the area, Solar Panels or not, one's house will also be blacked out. This totally sucks. Hopefully, not too far away, people will have batteries good enough to store enough electricity to be completely energy independent. This could be so much more efficient than than distributing power through the grid, considering distance losses. Folks are already harvesting Off-Peak power so surely this scenario isn't in a reality far in the long distant future.

Yeah i remember seeing this a while back. good idea cuz you guys get a shitload of sun down their on Earth's Dry Taint.

A bit bigger than my solar PSU for my amateur radio gear Dave, I only get 135W on a good day here in the southern part of the uk but it's good enough to run the radios 😊

2880W
