As far as I know the Mesopotamian people are the fist civilization who generated 7 days week and they made it according to numbers of the visible 5 planets with naked eyes and the sun, the moon. That is why the numbers of days are seven and their names are the same name with the planets, moon sun. ( Monday, Sunday, Saturn day, …ect) . This idea was also origin of seven heaven mentioned in Bible and Koran. They also inspired also Aristotle and Potelamous to create a seven heavenly universe model.
