I think if they will, the space shuttle could take around 50 person to space one time, compared to other space ship, only 3 people the most, this thing actually is the most advanced space tool in human history, today and near future, no one can pass it, the Russia, China, even the US own Orion space craft can not. So pity NASA have to abandon the space shuttle.
