I see that. I think there are different compositions of comets. Some are rocky, some others are solid nickel/iron. For my listeners though I'd also keep them fully aware that in the design of turbojets iron/nickel alloy is used for the exhaust fan blades. Iron/nickel alloy is very heat resistant and it takes a whole hell of a lot of heat to destroy the structural integrity of the material. They were using titanium alloys, but those were not as stable as iron/nickel alloys under high heat and pressure. I would also look up the properties of Invar, which has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion.
