Halton Arp Intrinsic Red Shift
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
https://www.facebook.com/thunderboltsproject Halton Christian "Chip" Arp (March 21, 1927 -- December 28, 2013) was an American astronomer. He was known for his 1966 Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies, which (it was later realized) catalogues many examples of interacting and merging galaxies. Arp was also known as a critic of the Big Bang theory and for advocating a non-standard cosmology incorporating intrinsic redshift."

With all due respect I find it ironic that Arp invokes "common sense". We are talking here about only two possibilities: something from nothing and something without any beginning. Neither can be handled even with an infinite amount of common sense)

The questions Arp asks are very important. I wish people developing electric universe concept got serious funding. But here is my question. I dont think anyone disputes that galaxies are located very far away from each other, regardless what red shift means. They had to get there somehow OR appear in their current location from nothing. If they had to arrive to their current location, then some force had to move them there whether you call that initial force big bang or not and you would expect them to continue moving and therefore red shift at least in part has to be due to speed. If the red shift is solely non cosmological and galaxies stay pretty much where they are born, then each of them had a big bang of its own which creates something from nothing. Neither possibility is really intellectually satisfying.

Electric Universe theory is the only one that makes real sense to me

Asrat. I think you confuse lunar eclipse and solar eclipse. A lunar eclipse hapens during some full moon night. Lunar eclipses hapen much more often than solar eclipses. I have seen 3 full lunar eclipses during my life time but i could have see many more. Asrat just do the following: find out on the internet when the next full lunar eclipse will hapen where you live and observe it. It is worth to be seen, it is a great feeling. You will see a shadow casting on the moon. This shadow is 3 times biigger than the moon. Then ask yourself what is casting this shadow?

While I like this theory, I must ask a question. Don't know of the poster can answer it. How do you account for the adjustments made for the GPS system using the math of "time dilation" from Einstein. If it can account for that, this theory is sound.

I'm not an idiot and this is all unprovable nonsense mixed with fancy made up astronomy terms. maybe we should go back to studying stars instead of naming them. astroLOGY astroNOMY.... one means study of, one means naming of. hmmmmm. did I make you think a little. we must do OUR OWN thinking. START THINKING, and stop getting fed your "truth". do your own experiments and see for yourself what your reality truly is. god-willing, much more of this world can wake up. I intend to help that end. one love world, no fear.

Don't lie man! there are no galaxies, there are no solar systems and there are no planets. the earth is the center of the universe. the earth does not spin and the earth is orbitted by all stars and the sun and the moon. the sun orbits the earth within 24 ours. The earth does not spin that is why you fly India from America, takes you same hours both directions.
Don't just keep on lying. -
A shame how scientists eat their own in order to maintain a paradigm.
-
Absolutely no one tales Arp seriously, except morons who know zero, nothing, about Astronomy, and whose main aim is to attack Einstein, the Jew. What utter fools you are. Stupid to the core and hateful to to the end.

Typical of the status quo scientists, that when confronted with visible proof, just create as Halton Arp says, animosity towards new findings.Whell, isn´t that nice to the advance of science, truth and real knowledge. As someone else says, the main stream chooses to stick their heads in the sand and when they suddenly look around, the truth is already out there, because visual evidence is what prevails not equations on a board. Mathematics are just a tool and a very good one, but they are no match to the eye and to what new and more technologically advanced telescopes reveal to us. Thank god, more scientists are choosing the path of truth, not the one of fancy theories. Eyes open people. Be safe.

Bad theory can be wrong but hard evidence never lies. Doesn't matter how many people ignore the hard evidence, it remains just as evidentiary and just as solid. Once you examine the redshift data used to confirm cosmology and instead find all these problems which Arp found, it is actually cosmology well falsified. It also sets a new stage for useful theories of galaxy formation and evolution.
This wonderful man's work is still ignored in the effort to try and prop up an ailing cosmology and that is so obviously to the great detriment of modern astrophysics and astronomy. Chip Arp will surely receive vindication in times to come and he surely knew he would be vindicated. What a wonderful lecture! -
Halton Arp was great. His findings will be accepted once the established scientists have become extinct. R.I.P. Mr. Arp.

But but...where is the big bang? LOL

Very thoughtful. Every once in a while you come across something truly interesting online.
This is the simplest shortest possible telling, so be interesting if you glean something of interest from it? Plz let me know?
Biology has achieved, accumulated an extraordinary level of complexity through Darwinian principles. Infact it is quite true, that we know of no other "process of nature" from which intricate complexity can emerge. So when we look to the physical universe, and make our list of the apparent complexities of composite atomic structures, and their numerous properties and behaviors evident under the heading of "particle physics. And the planetary, solar, galactic and inter galactic structures which these little atoms achieve when grouped together on mass. And then let us not forget that biology is merely Darwinian principle applied to particle physics, and I should not say this so understated. For if atoms are capable of building such complex entities as they do within biological systems, then this is a measure of how complex atoms truly are, and nothing less. I urge anybody to look up the definition for "complexity" and if atomic and universal structures qualify such a term, which surely they do. Then let us consider "Darwinian Principles" as suspect number one, in the puzzling case of "who did it?", if for no other reason than, we know of no other natural driver of complexity.
But you say, how can rocks be Darwinian? And they are I assure you, however the process of Darwinian principles applied to the universe, is a sufficiently different context to that of biology, so that its broader universal scope was not automatically assumed upon Charles original discovery of Darwinian evolution. Infact as members of the human race, it is my hope that people will be somewhat jointly humbled by the eventual admission that we must make, that it took over 150 years from discovery, for Darwinian processes to be recognized within a wider universal scope. And those people who actively participated in bad scientific process, like is the case for those who ignored and or actively campaigned against Halton Christian's sound evidences. For they might be doubly humbled.
And here it is, simple as pie. You see a Darwinian system needs to cycle in a particular way, achieve replication and inter generational exchange to enable adaptations, and evolutionary progression. With this in mind, I ask you to consider modern observations of the properties of space, dark energy, relativity, gravity etc. It is an intuitive notion to entertain, that there is a regenerative energy field emerging continually in space, which is then in turn being consumed by matter in the process of generating atomic electrical fields. In this respect, matters consumption of the field is an adaptation of the Darwinian field, so that it may clear habitat (space) and allow for inter generational exchange, so that it might perpetuate, adapt, evolve. It is through this cyclical process that a perfect interpretation can be gleaned, for the emergence of complexity from once simpler universal configurations. It makes an incredible kind of sense of all universal structures and properties, and the telling unfolds like any wonderful case of evolution, that Sir David Attemborough may have told over the years. The universe is made of nothing but a regenerative field, and electromagnetism, and sculptured through Darwinian process over an untold span of time. This makes sense of every observation I have considered to date, and answers the kinds of questions many thought would not be answered within our lifetimes. But now they will.
PS,
It should be intuitive in this day and age, that electric fields require continual generation!
Photon red shifting isnt due to universal expansion, but rather some of the red shifting is due to the continual emergence of the field of space. Some!
I'll finish by saying, this universal system I describe perpetuates galaxy formation, and the process Halton Arp describes it at least partly correct in this regard. I say partly, not because I take exception with his ideas, but because I dont know fully myself. -
Wow, clarity, simplicity, common sense, rational observation and conclusion. Thank you for posting this.
The big bang and it's invisible mass and energy exponents will enduringly prove that intelligence and stupidity are not mutually exclusive.
My belated condolences to the Arp family. We have all lost with his passing.
His legacy will prove their shame.
With respect -

why would anyone dislike this?

It was a tragedy that only days after he died he was vindicated beyond doubt. In December 2013 the Hercules Corona Borealis Wall was observed for the first time. It's a structure 10 billion years "long" which can never fit in any big bang model, under any assumptions. The big bang theory is dead and the only thing keeping it in this zombie state is the nobel industry.
When scientists get themselves reduced to outright silencing other scientists, it's then you know mainstream science is becoming a religion. Complete with archbishops, popes, clergy and devoted fanatics.
