Watched Stanley Kubrick's the ever incredible 2001: A Space Odyssey the other night. Afterwards I spent ages trying to find this particular song from the film (rather unnoticeable among the other famous pieces of classical music that make the movie). Finally I found it; Lux Aeterna by György Ligeti (it was quite hard to find as there is another Lux Aeterna; the theme from Requiem for a dream). Couldn't find a longer version than the actual ten minute long song so I've made this 1 hour extended version as I now love to listen to it to get to sleep. Both beautiful and haunting at the same time, awesome stuff, just like the movie it's featured in! Images are not mine.
