Proven how? Nothing was ever proven in the last 4.5 billion years of the Earth including it's age. However if you mean was it verified to a high level of certainty, then yes. In fact it's one of the most well tested theories of all time, we have to take into the effects of relativity on satellites especially for GPS or they just don't work.
