Good Enough Movies - SPACEBALLS (PILOT)
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
NEW SERIES PILOT! https://www.patreon.com/moviebob1 A celebration of the reliable 3-star movies we love, GOOD ENOUGH MOVIES looks back on the not-quite-classics you can still quote by heart and will always stop to watch whenever they're on. Maybe it's a nostalgic fave you haven't seen in years, maybe it's a movie you would've loved but never heard about - until now. They're far from perfect, they're hardly ubiquitous, but they're still G.E.M.s THIS INSTALLMENT: Mel Brooks' 1986 blockbuster send-up SPACEBALLS, starring Bill Pullman, John Candy, Rick Moranis and Daphne Zuniga. To a generation of 80s kids it was *the* STAR WARS spoof, but it's often held up by comedy fans as the beginning of a down-trend for Brooks' feature work. Who has the Schwartz-powered saga pegged right?

I know you got your start on the same channel as Zero Punctuation, but your talk as fast as you can stolen schtick will never work. stop it

bob without dark glasses. great improvement
-
You need to do The Last Star Fighter....
-
I am watching this and laughing at all the silent clips in the background. When I was a kid I watched this a lot so I know all the lines in those scenes.
-
yep; love this series idea.
do you take suggestions?
because it tends to floor people when i tell them that my favorite movie, ever, is Clue [and now they're REMAKING IT?!?!?!?! why...whimper] people are baffled because it's a common anecdote that i can blame my dad for being the total geek i am on the fact that the first movie i ever saw was Star Wars... in theater, at four months old
Clue is still my favorite movie. there are sooo many reasons for this. i wanted to be Madeline Kahn when i grew up [also in Blazing Saddles. she was just BEYOND wonderful. Tim Curry. the humor. the ENDINGS!
I think Clue is a classic.
:) -
your fake ass Boston accent is infuriating
-
Constantine is perfect for this series.
-
This is pretty insightful, can't wait for the next episode. May I suggest top gun?
-
I'll be honest the film was abit too overhyped to be anything but disappointing when i finally saw it.
the watching themselves bit though was a genius bit of writing that made me laugh. -
dan aykroyd crystal skull HAHAHAHAHA

Interesting take. Can't wait to see more.
-
Keep up the good work. Always Hilarious.
-
I'd gladly watch more! Great movie to start off with and a perfect example of what you are going for.
-
Love the concept of the series. Not sure if I like the visuals of the video being so small - I get that you have to do that to get around copyrights, but I'd rather see something else - either you, or imagery, popping up to help break it up. I loved it in the corner at the start, and seeing the poster. Just not for the entire thing. Maybe as a brief intro, then go into full screen? Just some thoughts.
Definitely want more of this series. :) -
Really? Dan Aykroyd's Vodka? If you have a problem Bob, you should tell people.
-
I like this, I wouldn't mind seeing it continue. I'm still waiting on History of the World P2 with "Jews in Space'!
-
You should totally do one on Grosse Pointe Blank and it's spiritual sequel War Inc.
-
holy hell dude, slow down a bit. just take a breath between sentences
-
And now parodies belong to abridged series.
