Elon Musk said that in the sailing age people took longer trips 6 months or more. While this is true they took even longer trips measured in years, back then homosexuality was carrying death penalty so no sailor would have dare to do something especially because those ships were overcrowded. What would happen if somebody on spaceship start rape or even have consensual sex activity with other cosmonauts? The rest will be demoralized and they will do fatally mistakes. Using mixed crews will create even more problems. And don't forget they stay on Mars and have a return trip also. After all it is a truth in the old saying "only cosmonauts and homosexuals will..." you know the rest.

If the plan works, which I'm doubtful, I guess we don't need to send rovers and landers on Mars anymore. Why send a rover when a mediocre geologist can cover a larger area and find really interesting stuff in an hour then a rover in 10 years.

Liar Liar Liar Fake Fake Fake
-
This will never happen cause these fuckers are GREED and humanity will never be able to afford it, With the fucked selfish attitude humanity has!!!!

When the Q&A came I felt like I was watching Comicon...

How To Live on Mars : Documentary on Colonizing . ONE STEP AT A TIME. THIS MUSK NEEDS TO FIND OUT ABOUT LETHAL RADIATION= THE VAN ALLEN BELTS?
-
HOW CAN HUMANS GO TO THE MOON OR MARS..? GET THROUGH THE VAN ALLEN BELTS WITHOUT ENDING UP .. DEAD.
-
this is inspiring to watch and see. but it would be fantastic to devote the same amount of resources to the problems we have on earth. we need to use science to find our way out of this mess. but we can use mars to solve the problems on our own planet. we need to find a way to support not just space x but all of his endeavors because science and engineering is the solution.

Elon Musk spent 1 hour explaining how he's going to colonize mars, and then second question in the Q&A was from a guy that was at burning man and wanted to know about the mars toilet, because in the desert was full of shit.
-
So when we get to mars will we plant an American flag or an Earth flag?
-
He mentions using Jupiter's and Saturn's moons to travel further into the solar system.
How come we can't do that with our moon to get to Mars? -
is there gonna be Muslims ?..they might blow up first ship..

I see audiences are struggling to come up with a question. I want to know why I am so excited about all this. I feel there is whole lot more possibilities if earthly life becomes multiple planet habitats. I would ask him "What's come up in your mind about what is going to happen if after we succeed to make the Mars habitable planet. How do you think about what's gonna happen to us after we became multiple planet habitats across exoplanets and interstellar space and then even beyond?"

the idea to harvest return propellant from the mars atmosphere was first devised by Dr. Robert Zubrin in 1990.

I was there and saw her asking to kiss Elon on stage. Of course I rolled my eyes and cringed. But I have to admit she's stunning. Not like extremely beautiful, it's more like she's that kind of woman that when walked in a room, everyone made way for her and stared awed. People tried to catch her attention all the time and there was something magnetic to her. She was also very polite. When I saw her speaking to random people, they reacted mostly the same, like intimidated, and blushed, and everybody near earshot turned around to listen to her. She had a sweet voice and was a petit girl (tanned with platinum blonde hair) I tried to talk to her but her bodyguard didn't alow it and she left in a hurry

There should be some kind of audience preselection, such an important topic requires some minimun amount of gray matter.

I'm glad the questions asked were by kids...
