First reusable rocket Falcon 9 successfully launches and lands
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
This test flight of the Falcon 9 Reusable (F9R) rocket was conducted on June 17, 2014 at SpaceX rocket development facility in McGregor, Texas. Falcon 9 is a two-stage rocket designed and manufactured by SpaceX for the reliable and safe transport of satellites and the Dragon spacecraft into orbit. As the first rocket completely developed in the 21st century, Falcon 9 was designed from the ground up for maximum reliability. Falcon 9's simple two-stage configuration minimizes the number of separation events -- and with nine first-stage engines, it can safely complete its mission even in the event of an engine shutdown. I think there are enough cow comments here already. Poor cows lol
-
This is sooooo cool! (And even had humor, too boot! The cows, man!, I'm talking about the cows feeding in the pasture right NEXT to the launch! Think NASA would have allowed that????)

The flying dildo.....What about those poor cows....

Space X BBQ.

I guess it's trying to say we never landed on the moon. This is suppose to be new technology. Oh, so they didn't descend on the moon in the same manner? They couldn't parachute down, that's for sure?

CGI just like the movies

could have ended up with some roasted cows

SpaceX is a giant money sucker from the Government. NASA could have done it, better and cheaper. Instead Elon is looking for government handouts to keep his audacious companies afloat, when the Government already has rockets and engines at their disposal! What about United Launch Alliance? Why is it that government gets to pick winners and losers? Sure the rocket can go 1000m up and then land vertically, which is really cool, but, it can't go into space and re-land, so what is the point? Why dump billions of dollars into nothing more than a publicity stunt. People should just use ULA and Roscosmos, they have Proton-M rockets that work better at a fraction of the cost, and since everyone in the US is using Russian RD-180 engines might as well just stick with Russian Rocketry, the best in the world. NASA doesn't have any manned spacecraft after the retirement of the Shuttle, Russia had a Shuttle too and retired it, difference being is that Russia can still take human being to space using the Soyuz-M.

This is not very impressive. Where is the footage of it leaving our atmosphere then returning. This is setting us up to think they can launch satellites and reuse the same rocket. This way they will save themselves money and effort and still put in a big bill for fake satellites.
So many satellites and still such ineffective technology. And before you reply. i have heard all the excuses and all the pathetic facts to support their existance. -
Layers and layers and layers! Can't you people see this crap? Or are you so conditioned from Hollywood bullshit you're blind?
-
So fake, I feel bad for the people who think this passes for reality, including the out of touch producers.
-
The cows were too scared for the return of the rocket.
-
UFO..... @ 3:25 ....appears out of nowhere....appears to pass through the rocket body. Not of interest to authorities.
-
mind......blown.
