Well I remember reading the fact that the Tardis does NOT go through wormholes but instead rides the so called Time Vortex, some... thing, that was created by the Gallifreyans with the sole purpoise to travel through time. Upon creating the Vortex they became Time Lords and indeed it does seem like it follows the "spinning" factor when it comes to traveling through it aside from some Vortex Manipulators which make one look like a the man character of the movie Jumper.
All in all MatPat could have at least read the DW wiki a little bit more for this episode, and also HURRY THE HELL UP AND GET DONE WITH PART 3 ALREADY MATPAT C'MON MAN -

Why the hell would you swipe left if her Bose-Einstein-Condensate is, as you said, "nowhere close to absolute zero"? It's an amazing achievement by her to actually be able to keep it in the state of BEC without it turning solid, which normally happens if the temperature is "nowhere close to absolute zero". So I'd hurry the hell and marry her 'cause chances are your gurl is gonna be a Nobel prize winner quite soon.
