Oh wtf, I found the spaceship way before I started the quest, and put 4 fusion controls in, now I can't take one out, so they always die at the end, sigh

I got a problem: I cleared the place and the guys are standing around the ufo waiting for the one chick's speech, but one of them is just standing around elswhere in a building next to the junkyard! So the thing doesn't trigger....
