Exoplanets - Planets beyond our Solar System
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
One of the most exciting developments in Astronomy over the last few years has been the discovery of “extra-solar planets” or exoplanets; i.e., planets around other stars in our galaxy. Numerous exoplanets have been discovered through various techniques; they vary from objects much bigger than Jupiter down to Earth-size bodies. A combination of four videos, courtesy of ESA: 1. "Hot Jupiters" - discovery of large exoplanets; 2. Fomalhaut B; 3. Earth-like planets; 4. Extra galactic exoplanet
