Considering Mr. Snowden who made public NSA program - why would any country agree to use that free-american-internet? Elon tries VERY hard to convince US NSA to pay for that...
-
There were clearly a bigger camera team involved in this event, you can see it on the screens on his sides. I only wish I could find THAT video online.
-
Think BIG.

13:08 Go home Beth, you're drunk...

So what he states faked
-
Hey! Have you tried - Zammu Amazing Cash Crop (search on google)? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my mate got excellent money with it.
-
Did Elon say it will cost $500,000 or less to move to Mars?
-
Who will control this constellation of networked satellites?
-
I wouldn't be suprised if Elon also intends to mass produce habitation modules for mars which also cold be used on the moon, large asteroids or even remote places on earth.
-
Can someone please create a actively updating list of things Elon is trying to tackle to help BETTER our world? I can't keep up! Not much downside to any of his ideas honestly. I just stumbled upon this video after watching 20 others and he is just talking about off-loading a huge chunk of data transmissions onto a un-parralleled satellite network that he is going to design, deploy, manage and commercialize in the next five years.... THIS GUY!!!

I wish there were tests made if there is a more acceptable frequency for the bees, as bees population is lower and lower, I wouldnt want bees to extinct because of global sattelite internet projects.
-
Global 30-40ms latency? Shit's hot.
-
I think Musk is creating a completely separate internet backbone, where the last mile is the only mile. No middle men. Every person will have a direct connection to the basic network.
-
I never really realized what people meant by "role-models" until I heard of Elon Musk.
-
They are going to launch the satellites with a magnetic thruster - wow!

Pretty dumb to compare someone's thinking speed with their talking speed, "Brad Pitt." Seems like you had one too many blows to the head in Fight Club. Did it occur to you at all that this was an off the top of his head speech and not a teleprompted one like you're used to?

Granted even if the number of Earth based routers are reduced the are still going to be routers amongst the Satellites in orbit and you are going to want a fair number of satellites to provide redundancy for all Earth traffic as well as interplanetary traffic eventually when it happens!
-
Is Spacex or solar city planing on eventually delivering electricity remotely via this satelite network to electrically poor nations?
-
Will Satellite Redundancy protect us from Solar activity and Solar Flares disrupting the internet , telephones and cells phones or will we still rely on the terrestrial / ocean network as a backup which still necessitates both and the Skynet will be the cadillac service and will everyone have access to both?
