Elite: Dangerous is a space flight simulator that supports VR on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. One of my favorite VR games so far. I'm playing this game with an Oculus Rift, a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick, and a program called Voice Attack that lets you bind keyboard functions to voice commands. This game is a sci-fi sandbox MMO space flight simulator. You are placed in the galaxy with a loaner ship and a handful of credits, and it's up to you to forge your own adventure in space. The scale of this game in massive, it is a 1:1 recreation of the Milky Way galaxy with hundreds of thousands of solar systems designed from real astrological data, and billions of other procedurally generated solar systems. Set out to the nearest space station and start earning some credits so you can buy new ships and parts for exploring and conquering the vastness of space. You can earn credits in Elite: Dangerous through exploration, combat, trading, crime, and a variety of other methods. Choose the playstyle that suits you, and fly a ship that suits your playstyle. With multiple ships of every shape and size, there's something for everyone. Elite: Dangerous was released on December 16th, 2014 for the PC. Virtual reality support was patched into the game after release and it now supports the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR HMDs. VR adds an extra layer of immersion to an already realistic space flight sim. I highly recommend playing this game in VR, it's quickly becoming one of my favorites! If you're into VR, check out my channel and subscribe. I have a HTC Vive and Oculus Rift and I put out VR videos on a regular basis.
