Duraflame Infrared Quartz Space Heater Review - Winterize Your Home
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Does the Duraflame infrared quartz heater really heat up to 1,000 square feet? Watch the video to learn how Duralame is able to make this claim and what the heater will really do. Duraflame portable space heaters are designed to be aesthetically appealing and functional. While the overall efficiency of any electric space heater is really dependent on how they're used, I've found our's to be very efficient when used to supplement our primary heat source. I also look into how they're able to make the claim of these heaters having the ability to heat a 1,000 sq. ft. room. I discuss how these heaters may function as a primary heat source compared to their intended use as a supplemental heat source. So does it heat 1000sqft? How long till it reaches to say 77 degrees

if i unplug it with heating on, will heat automatically resume when i plug it in? i'd like to use a Wemo switch so i can turn the heater on remotely and preheat my basement, but that switch functions only as power on/power off, so i wouldn't be able to power the heater on and then also turn the heat itself on from the Wemo app.

I have one. I turn it all the up to 97 degrees fh. The temperture won't go past 80 degrees fh.

does this machine turn off and on when it gets at a certain temperature

my dad has 3 or 4 heaters that look almost exactly like this one, supposed to heat 1,000 square feet, quartz and wood, he has a wood stove in the basement and 2 baseboard heaters in his 3 story house house, but he only uses 2 of these heaters in the winter and says they make him sweat.

Come see my review on the Comfort Zone Space heater.

I am thinking about adding one of these for my apt. I have electric baseboard heat, and wood burning fireplace(I don't use all the time). Would it help reduce my monthly heating costs in the Chicago winters?

You have to be some kind of stupid in a special way to think that thing could heat 1,000 sq feet. doubt if it could heat 75 square feet. You notice him put his fingers against it with no pain. THIS IS TOTALLY BOGUS__________LIAR. How else can i put it. He lies

how much does it cost?

Hello Mark, Im Pamela. Question. I wonder if you might be able to help me with? My Sis has a huge room over a 3 car garage. She wants to do her sewing in it. It has windows all around it except for where you walk into the room. Thats the house wall area. There is a door with at the btm to go outside there's like 15-17 steps down to that door. HOW or what Can she use to help keep it warm. Im sure there are floor vents. Not sure how many. Anyways, she does have one of the products you showed. Not sure if its the same one exactly? She owns a floor OIL hearter and a small about 8 in sq heater too? I thought i might just ask you your opinion :) Thks, esp if you can help me. Have a great day too! SHE LIVES IN MICH.USA by the way

my twin star heater looks identical to this Duraflame.

i have a failed electric heater Twin star 10Q1071ARA.
First the fan was terribly loud needed oil. Then front plastic got so hot it melted. so I hot wired fan seperatly. Then the heat quit. Now waiting for twin star to respond.
All ways use the timer. These heaters are foot warmers not house heaters. -
Good video, thanks. PS: The Les Paul is gorgeous...!

i got one but not sure the thermostat works right, can you do a video on operation of the heater

When you use, do you not use any built in heater in your home?
My home is 2 story town home and it has built in thermostat with gas heater (tank in a garage) and central Ac.
When I used that in the winter, Bill $450 for 2 months (California)
So if I use this kind of one, I don't have to turn on built in thermostat ever??
I just want to save some bills...and warm... -
Mark, what does that heater say it uses in Watts, on maximum heat? Do you hear the fan, much, when you're not sitting right next to it? Thanks !
