In this video I review each piece of my astrophotography equipment to show you what you need for deep-sky DSLR imaging. If you are interested in night sky photography, a tracking mount is needed for long exposures with your DSLR camera lens, or through a telescope. That's a nice set up. I love my HEQ5. Just finished recalibrating my polar scope :) I got a SW 150 newt, but thinking of swapping/selling it for a Startravel 120. Got my eye on the Evostar 80ED as well, but I'd love a Evostar 120ED. Actually, if I could afford it I'd love the 6" Explore Scientific EDAPO... but yeah, £4500... not got that money just yet haha

Can I use just a cheap basic astrocam with a usb output cable as an autoguider? And if yes, what software should I use to run it? Can PHD guiding take care of it? Thanks for your help.

Well done. I'm subscribing.
No polar alignment scope? -
Do you have a video showing the software set up for capturing the images?

HI there! I might get a Skywatcher EQ3 (computerized) mount, a explore scientific 102mm f6.5 (663mm focal length) telescope and a QH5y-II mono guide cam. Am I right that I can use theincluded guide scope of the telescope? +A T-Ring adapter. I already have a Nikon D600 for imaging. Will this setup work or am I missing out on something. I think it's really difficult to find systematic information to this topic. Up to this point I've just done wide field imaging with my 50mm f1.8 but I would like to go deep (pun intended). I would greatly appreciate if you could help me and I wish you a nice day.

love the skyrim music in the background.

A very informative video. After removing the IR cut filter from your Canon camera, did you replace it with another filter (e.g. Baader or Astronimik)? Thanks a lot.
-
Thank you so much for sharing that with everyone. You have given me something to work towards and shown me what is possible.
