The BEst Episode of DS9. The Absolute Best.
-
The three season storyline of the Dominion War has some of the most beautifully written, directed, acted and produced sci-fi for TV ever. The tension between the desire to behave ethically and the need to survive.
-
This series was my favorite star trek series. While the others were based in near utopic settings, and sought to inspire with exploration and heroic deeds and adventures by the "good guys" as Sisko referred to them, DS9 took on something much more real, and was unafraid to explore the darkness as well as the light.

Garak at his finest.
-
Garak: 'And all it cost were the lives of one Romulan Senator, and one criminal. But I repeat myself.'
-
"computer! erase that entire personal log" tops

I feel like Sisko is looking at me!!
-
Sisko sacrifices his principles to save billions of innocent people, meanwhile those fucking retarded psychos Archer and Janeway (captains from ST enterprise and Voyager) sacrifice their principles to kill billions of innocent people. And they say DS9 is the show that diverged to much from Gene's vision
-
A great example of over acting!
-
Garak saved the Alpha Quadrant
-
This Episode shows why Ds) was and is my favorite ST series to this day! It displays even the "perfect" St universe for what it is; White, black and inbetween a whole lot of grey!
-
Andrew Robinson is a fucking CRIMINALLY underrated actor!
-
my thoughts on this are complicated. i am not sure what the federation of even sisko was supposed to do in this episode or about the war. they were fighting a somewhat losing battle/war and needed the romulans to join them. like i said they are losing and people are dieing for nothing out there other then "there princibles" its like kinglon honner in a way. so is it worth it to die knowing you died fighting for your princibles or is it better to have a chance to live and win a war knowing you betrayed all you stand for. like i am actually curious what people think because i feel like this is a perfect episode that raises this question and i would love to hear what other people think.

One wonders what Roddenberry would think of DS9 from the beginning to the very end it went against is vision of humanity finally outgrowing many of its problems like poverty, war, crime, disease. But DS9 was a show that despite us getting rid of our ills there is a price for all that. Getting into a starship and running off to the next star system was never an option many of the characters had to live with the consequences of ensuring the Federation's survival.

Welcome to the Grim Dark Side of the Star Trek Universe.

Garak was such fun...
-
Cool of Garak to call Sisko out on his bullshit.
-
This is up there with the best Star Trek episodes. I like Sacrifice of Angels as well.
-
