About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
In this 4th installment of my portable solar power generator video series I cover the use of a movers dolly to make the system more maneuverable, the installation of a snap disc thermostat to automatically control the cycling of the cooling fans, and cable management enhancements in the interest of improved system safety.

Jim, have been working steadily on my project - just got my Duracell deep cycle batter and beginning assembly. Quick questions, what gauge wire did you use between the battery and the jumping terminals? I am thinking a minimum of 4 gauge or perhaps even 2 gauge. Again, thanks for sharing you have done amazing work.

Excellent build, glad to see you've added the thermostat, I was wondering why you didn't in the first video but I thought that's just how you wanted it. It's always easier to automate things when possible. Now you don't have constantly watch the internal temps.
It would be nice to link a list of all the items you purchased, I know it'd be a lot of work but it would also really hep those that want to build something similar. -
Jim, Thanks so very much for the quick response. I have already placed my order for both items. Again, thanks for sharing your project, ideas and assistance! You have done an outstanding job. I hope mine turns out as nice as yours.

I too am in need of an MC4 input plate. A quick google search did not readily turn up anyplace to buy them. Suggestions?

This is probably the best video I've seen on this subject. I appreciate you eye for detail and "clean" install. Great job.

Awesome! I think you are the one who inspired me to do mine. I went with a larger 24v system. It is a heavy bugger...but, works great. In fact, this video just gave me a couple of other ideas. Got some videos on my Channel. Thank you.
