DiMarzio D Activator Pickups

1. Are these pickups designed similar to as EMG??? 3 pins installment instead of soldering?
2. Serious question: do they really sound this bad? I was going to buy a set to try, but not now!!!
3. Pretty sharp sounding in this video compared to my sound. These sound great in drop c! I use the illuminator neck and really like the blend. Pretty versatile...
4. they are nothing great my lh-150s in the esp were just as good.. seymours are just better for metal
5. I've played Duncans, EMGs, and Dimarzios. I have to say that Dimarzios make some pretty sweet ceramic pups and I have yet to play any of their alnico pups. The EVO was pretty warm and tight. I have no doubt in my mind the D Activator will shine in my guitars :-D
6. I have this pick up in my bridge and an illuminator in the neck. It's a good bridge for drop C because of the slight cutting treble and enough mid and bass also (I keep my eq around 9:00 for all 3) It's their 3rd strongest also. Well rounded, i.m.o.
7. I dont know man, it sounds Extremely Thin Twangy and weak,
   After 30 seconds I wanted to run away!, I hope its just a crappy mic??
8. I have these pickups in my schecter . They actually sound pretty similar , except this dude has the clean tone really trebly . Obviously you can dial down on that . But this is a good pickup especially for high gain . 
9. Play them in drop C!
10. If I was Larry Dimarzio, I would ask Paul to NEVER demo another one of my pickups. Hell, I'd PAY him to never demo another pickup of mine. 
11. these pickups sound AWFULLY thin, guitar world should review the D activator X pickups next
12. The question is would it sound good in Drop C or anything lower then Drop C?!
    I need new pickups and I generally play in a heavier tuning so i'm curious if they'd hold up with my style (Death Thrash) and tuning?
