A quick improv jam demoing the Dimarzio Andy Timmons pickup set I just threw in my Strat - two DP187 Cruiser bridge pickups in the neck and middle positions and an AT-1 Timmons in the bridge, with 500k pots. Amp was a Mesa Roadster into a Recto 2x12, first on Tweed of channel 1, 100 watts, and then Channel 3 Modern, 50 watts, both on tube rectification, in Spongy mode, with a SM57 a little over an inch off the grill and a Line6 DL4 delay in the loop for Channel 3, at little more than comfortable apartment volume. I couldn't understand why anyone would put anything other than a singlecoil in the neck position of a Strat for years, so I'm a little surprised to be saying this, but I'm really liking these so far. This is a little rough in places - I was trying to remember to switch pickups now and then to show a couple of the different tones available with this set. This song came about after an afternoon jamming along with Lyle Watt's "Slowdown," so if you like this you definitely should follow this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKc_umhyyyE
