Detailed analysis of Spacex Rocket Explosion

A more detailed analysis of the spacex falcon 9 rocket explosion. Several interesting details. Firstly the main explosion is actually from the fuel from the second stage and the liquid oxygen from the first stage. In order to save weight on the rocket the second stage of the falcon 9 uses a common wall for the liquid oxygen and fuel tank (rp1). Any rupture in this tank wall would doom the rocket. The quiet 'pop' may well be a failure of a helium tank. They are usually used to keep a pressure in the tanks while they are emptying due to the rocket burning the fuel. If one of these had ruptured while the oxygen tank was full, it could have overpressurized the tank causing it to also fail. I wont be adding this video to the patreon supported feed, but many thanks to all those who do support this channel! https://www.patreon.com/Thunderf00t

"It goes BOOM in a very convincing fashion" haha like you were criticizing bad effects of a B movie X)

ufo blew it up, end of failure theory.

Most rockets at least have the self respect to be in flight when they blow up!

Just for a laugh, why in the schematic comparison, is there an image of a vertical school bus in the satellite section? ;-)
-
It looks like a projectile hit it and you see rubble from the blast

ummm... am I the only one who noticed the French accent with the "Ok.... so" at the very beginning? the fuck?

Did i just watch a video NOT about a UFO attacking SpaceX?
-
But the engines were shut down. What was the source of heat?

Why has nobody done a frequency analysis of the sound

Failed rocket or first prototype of SpaceX Thermobaric ICBM?

TF, could you focus a little bit on the ejecta we see in the first few seconds of the explosion. Particularly the large piece that seems to go pretty much straight up. If the first event was from within the rocket body, how did this piece get past the payload. Is it possible that the first event happened outside of the rocket body and sent shrapnel through the tank?

As an alien I'm offended for no raeson.

Yeah, seriously! He doesn't puff himself up. -
From SpaceX:
http://spacenews.com/spacex-narrows-down-cause-of-falcon-9-pad-explosion/ "SpaceX said Oct. 28 that it is able to replicate the failure of a helium tank that is suspected, but yet to be confirmed, as the cause of Falcon 9 pad explosion nearly two months ago." -
Youtube user TechX has suggested what seems to be an entirely plausible scenario for an initial explosion outside the rocket, just as it appears in the video. If the LOX loading pipelines on the tower were insulated with polyurethane foam, soaking it with oxygen would produce a rather powerful oxyliquit explosive. But if the pipelines didn't actually leak, where would the oxygen come from? The air, plus possibly the oxygen-rich vent plume from the rocket itself. SpaceX supercools its LOX to cram more into the tank, so it would be cold enough in the pipeline to condense oxygen out of the air. You're probably more familiar with this hazard when handling LN2, since its normal boiling point is well below that of LOX.

If you listen closely, after the pop there is also a sliding sound, very faint. Sounds a bit like the velociraptor screech from Jurassic Park 1. Almost a whistling like sound. If those sounds come from the craft the pop might be the fuelpipe rupturing and the whistling the oxidiser leaking in. Or it could be that they where done fueling and what we here is the valves closing. Or it could be the people behind the camera drinking a juicebox, who knows xD

Could you do a video on your thoughts about Elon Musks mars proposal?

0:39 Misses the Clear fast moving object in sky. There is also one a lot faster 2 seconds b4.
It's an Air Craft With a Directed Energy Weapon. USA has been building these for a long time.
