Demolishing the Kalam Cosmological Argument for God

1. Hmm you don't belive in my assertion that god created everything....
   
   So let me assert that god created everyghint because of my assertion that something cannot come from nothing, my stupid obvious statement that every creation has a creator and my assertion that the universe is a creation...How about now? convinced??

4. The only refutation in teh video, is of the posters rationality.
5. The structure of the KCA is airtight. You can disagree with one or both of the premises. But the structure is classic and airtight.
6. Can you summarize the conclusion from this video? Which premise of Craig's KCA is wrong- 1 OR 2? What is wrong with it? It seems that KCA can be refuted by answering the two simple questions I have posed. There is no point in making a full 45 min length video other than to appear sophisticated.
7. How do apologists know that god is independant of time, immaterial, uncaused, capable of creating things out of nothing, etc? They don't, they grant god those properties because god is whatever they want god to be.

   Everything that begins or ceases to exist has a cause just like every existing thing that changes has a cause. Beginning or ceasing to exist are also changes. Universes popping into existence is another change caused by some unknown mindless laws of physics acting on the eternally changing matter. There is no evidence that these causes have the ability to think, plan, create, hold emotions, or have intentions.
   
   Our partially known universe is a chaotic place. Earth-like planets get lucky in their formation and life precariously emerges from chemistry when conditions happen to be right then evolves without any prior intentions or plans. If a tiny plant sprouts through an accidentally created crack of 2 ton boulder, neither the boulder was intentionally designed to be of that shape and size, nor the boulder was designed for the plant, nor the crack in the boulder was planned or intentional.
10. Kalam Cosmological Argument logic:
    
    All cats meow.
    My parrot can meow.
    My parrot is a cat.
    
    All pedophiles hurt children.
    The god of the bible hurt children.
    God is a pedophile.
    
    All vampires rise from the grave.
    Jesus rose from the grave.
    Jesus is a vampire.
    
    All creationists are idiots.
    Intelligent design is creationism in a labcoat.
    Proponents of intelligent design are idiots.
    
    
    
11. Why is this guy so hard to understand? When Harris or Dawkins argue, they are easily understood, but this philosopher seems like he is trying to convince himself rather than to convince me, and since I am not sure what is bugging him, except perhaps that Craig believes the bible, I don't know what he is arguing about. Further, it is annoying to hear him keep saying "Craig is actually right about this" and "Craig agrees with that".
12. I facepalmed myself so hard I saw stars. He refuted Craig by re-defining nothing. Wow. Clever.
13. Lightning. Lightning was once thought to be forged by Hephaestus in volcanoes to be used as weapons by Zeus. Lightning came to represent the wrath of gods and if you or your house were struck you must have angered them. We now know that electrical charges form on particles moving through the air and when these changes get strong enough they travel the path of least resistance to an area of lower potential. The charge discharges. It doesn’t matter what the particles are lightning has been observed in rain storms, snow storms, dust storms, forest fires and volcanic eruptions. Whenever the conditions are right for lightning to occur it occurs. It takes no intelligent direction for it to happen nor is it an accident, it is just the result of physical conditions. So if you look at the big bang that way it can be deduced that the conditions were right for it to happen. I don’t know what those conditions were but I know like lightning it was neither intelligent direction nor an accident.

15. Dr. Craig has addressed this complaint about the KCA on his website and in his book. You could have saved yourself a lot of time had you known this already. When Craig says nothing he means "no thing" (time, space, matter, energy, laws) in our known physical universe.
16. Atheists have to believe that the existence of the universe is a "brute fact". That there was never a state of "true nothing". The universe may have gone through many changes...energy to matter and back again...whatever. But there was always a universe. I find that harder to believe than the god theory.
17. “How timelessness and changelessness effect a change?”
    
    I am sure you are aware of the Special Relativity right? For
    any object that is travelling with the speed of light time and space is zero. However,
    the matter in our universe obviously made out of light and the total entropy is
    increasing, meaning that at some point light is converted into matter, and it
    happened ~13.5 Billion years ago.
    
     
    
    So at best you should say that in your reference frame timelessness
    and changelessness causing something is not meaningful. However from the
    Creators frame of reference it could well be possible. In fact, with such a
    question you prove the existence of a Creator. Because Our universe has a
    beginning. If there is a material cause then it is “the light” free roaming
    around. And for light there is no time and space, then there should not be an
    efficient cause to form that light into matter. However, Cosmic Background Radiation
    Proves that at some point time started.  Therefore
    if what you say is right universe should not even be here at all.
18. Your first objection "We can NOT have an effect that
    does NOT have a material cause"
    
    DARK MATTER, which is a scientific concept does not have
    "Material Existence" as well as DARK ENERGY. Actually, the word
    "DARK" is applied to these "concepts" to refer to their
    immaterial aspect. However, the accelerating expansion of the universe (dark energy),
    the surplus gravity that holds the galaxies together (dark matter) are causing
    "stuff" in our universe.
     
    So, you said something fundamentally wrong about reality.
