I watched part 3 and 4 last night before bed, then proceeded to have a dream that I was playing as nidalee in league of legends vs a kayle. After 1v2ing her and a teammate she was still alive then I myself was put into the game and I smashed kayle in a very dominating way. Then I had another dream that I was in skyrim and I was slaying draugr and and casting destruction spells at giants. I don't play nidalee, and I don't play a spell caster in skyrim. I don't know why this series has made me dream these dreams but I cant complain.

What I like about Dead Space and its sequels is that it constantly feels like a bleak and depressing Universe. Humanity in Dead Space has achieved faster then light travel which should have brought in an golden age of prosperity. But you get that feeling that humanity is just struggling to get by. Even in dead space 2 the audio and text logs add on to this. All in all its just an perfect atmosphere for sci-fi horror.

This is the timeline according to the wiki
1-2 Months Prior to the Game the Red Marker is discovered
4 Weeks Prior: Insomnia gets bad on the colony and management refuse to take violence seriously, first death occurs
2 weeks prior: Red Marker is brought into the colony, things start going really bad down there
1 week prior: The Ishimura arrives, the Red Marker is brought aboard. The Captain orders all flights stopped.
2 Days prior: The crack commences, the colony falls to the Necromorphs and the ship is compromised. The captain and most of the crew are killed.
