im great fan of floyd, i make music which is similar to theirs, and im curious just about one thing. my question is:"guys, was it hard to compose it?how did the songwriting process look like?" - i bet Syd did the job because this kind of music was like normal for him, such awkward genius!

yes he was....what good take on the original like stars on 45 in the early eighties.

This shows for me what an extraordinary guitarist Barret was, he managed to get an extraordinary amount of good noise out of a guitar like no one else.

Insane guitar!!!! Syd wrote this!

Rick Wright (RIP) looks over to Gilmour at the beginning and basically says, "OK, it's time to buckle up!"

Listen close, kiddies. There is a lot more than just 3 chords going on here. People used to have real talent, not just the ability to program beat boxes and sequencers... auto-tune and the like. These are REAL musicians.

The song must have been difficult to play

Outstanding!

One of Syd Barrett's classics He wrote on Piper's. Syd passed the reigns to His friend David Gilmour when He walked away from Pink Floyd and Rock 'n' Roll at age 22 (However Syd did make two solo albums in 1969 & 70). I was always hoping Syd would come back to Pink Floyd and join David, but that never happened, the Drugs (mainly LSD) took its toll Unfortunately. David has done a Awesome job with Syd's Pink Floyd project...RIP Crazy Diamond (Syd Barrett) & Richard Wright !!!
