Dark Flow & The Great Attractor
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Today we're teaming up with Joe Scott to look at the Great Attractor, a mysterious and massive source of gravity obscured from our vision, and the concept of Dark Flow, movements of whole clusters of galaxies in directions with no obvious cause. Anyone think that they are Kugelblitz's?
-
i bet its a lot of black hole and a lot of neutron star
-
Did you say Duck or dark? What is Duck flow? If Elmer Fud was a Astro physicist lol
-
Well Done!

Dork energy!

Nice video, but do we need to colonize any longer? I'm sure superior species to us out there would not go for that, and just nuke us as a whole earth instantly. :)
-
Yo mama so fat, scientists are perplexed by the unexpected peculiar velocities of nearby galaxies moving towards her.
Hey babe, are you an unknown source of gravity at the center of the Laniakea supercluster? 'Cause I think you're a great attractor... -
I like your stuff but whats up with you not pronouncing 'R's? Is it a lisp or an accent or something?
-
So... the space between the Milky Way and Andromeda is expanding at approximately 50 km/s, but they are approaching each other at approximately 160 km/s, with a net of approximately 110 km/s. Did I get that right?

Just found this channel, insta sub ^^/

Hey Isaac- Wouldn't "particular" velocity be a better term than "peculiar"? I understand that peculiar is correct based on the word's historical meaning, but I'd think that particular would be better to avoid confusion over the colloquial use of peculiar. Just a thought. Another great vid, well done!\

1:07 sounds ok to me ;)

Boys this stuff is so hectic

I was so fascinated with your dialect, that I almost missed the content. Where are you from, dear name-brother?
-
Light travel instantaneous in the sense it takes no time, not for us but for it, it could go from one side to the other side of the universe in an instant.
-
Expansion makes me sad :( To know that there could be some really cool civilizations way out there that we'll never get to meet and have awesome parties with is a tragedy.
-
I understand you just fine man

Great video again mate! Just a comment: i don't know anyone who says "E.S.A." for the European Space Agency. It's like N.A.S.A., we call them "Esa" and "Nasa" (and "Jaxa" for the japanese). At least no one working there would spell their acronym and so others follow suit. Also, they are proper nouns now and so we say "ESA" not "the ESA", even though the latter would be grammatically correct if you were to spell out the acronym. Cheers and keep up the good work!
