This week's episode of Dark Corners we review Ed Wood's cult classic Plan 9 from Outer Space (1956) IMDb Summary: In California, an old man (Bela Lugosi) grieves the loss of his wife (Vampira) and on the next day he also dies. However, the space soldier Eros and her mate Tanna use an electric device to resurrect them both and the strong Inspector Clay (Tor Johnson) that was murdered by the couple. Their intention is not to conquer Earth but to stop mankind from developing the powerful bomb "Solobonite" that would threaten the universe. Ed Wood is definitely not the worst director of all time. He was a terrible director for sure but not the worst. Parts of Plan 9 in particular work as an unintentional comedy. The movie is dumb as can be but its not boring some of its inane lines are comedy gold. So its far from the worst movie ever made. I've seen many movies that are every bit as dumb but lack the unintentional comedy and thus are much worse than Plan 9
