"Cosmological Simulation" presented by Volker Springel in PASCOS 2011 Conference, Cambridge, July 2011. http://www.damtp.cam.ac.uk/research/gr/workshops/PASCOS/2011/presentations/Springel-pascos2011.pdf "Predictions from N-body simulations: Abundance of objects (as a function of mass and time). Their spatial distribution. Internal structure of halos (e.g. density profiles, spin). Mean formation epochs. Merger rates. Detailed dark matter distribution on large and fairly small scales. Galaxy formation models. Gravitational lensing. Baryonic acoustic oscillations in the matter distribution. Integrated Sachs-Wolfe effect. Dark matter annihilation rate. Morphology of large-scale structure ("cosmic web"). Etc."

So did Anything exist outside the starting point? Anything at all?
-
looks like neurons in a brain! wonder if we are living in gods brain?
-
Wow, computer simulations that help show the principle - garbage in, garbage out.
-
would be cool if the simulation went on rather than stop in the present... I wonder what the universe will look like when it's twice as old... or is it only me thinking that way? :-(
-
Lighter and heavier particles
-
T=time gyr=billions of years no idea what z means though :/
-
This is extremely cool, but if its starting from complete uniformity why would a particle go one way and not the other?
-
What was your way an old guy with a white beard siting on a cloud making shit appear everywhere YOU my friend wishes it was that way
-
Unfortunately no computer in existence yet could calculate that in real time.
-
There's gotta be life out there.
-
zero dislikes! So far the universe hasn't disliked itself. Oh you conceited universe you. Dare I press dislike?
-
z is redshift which is a common way to speak about the age of the universe as it is directly related to the scale factor a(t) of the expansion of the universe. It is easier for cosmologist to use z because they can measure it directly observing a far object. T is more simply the time in Gy that 1,000,000,000 years. It's th time since the Big bang.

BARONSTONE- I TRIED TO PASS YOU INTO HISTORY. I RECCOMEND YOU DIG EINSTEIN UP BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF HIM AND TELL HIM NOT TO DIVIDE BY ZERO. THEN GO PUT SOME BACKUP LIGHTS ON HAWKINGS WHEEL CHAIR THAT BOY HAS LOST MORE BETS AND MADE RETRACTIONS PAST ABNORMAL. YOUR USE OF MASS AND TIME.IS COMMON FOR S.W.A.G. THINKERS. MAN USES TIME TO GAUGE HIS POOR SHORT ASS LIFE ON THIS ROCK IN SPACE. TIME IS A CONCEPT THAT MAN DEVELOPED, AND SURELY DIE WITH MAN.
-
No, this is pretty much the way it happened. They don't "wish" for anything.
-
YOU WISH IT WAS THAT WAY.
-
Universe structure is actually "Cloud & rain model"
-
eh I like Morpheus better
-
A brain named...Carl!
-
its an interesting concept even if its not a creatures brain the fact that the design is similar to our on neurons is quite fascinating

I will hunt you down I was a mear 1 year to late you stole my comment.... -sigh- come on make this easy whats your address
