http://www.youtube.com/user/StPetersburgCollege An out of this world event, Cosmic Quandaries, held at The Palladium in St. Petersburg at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26th drew in an audience of nearly 800! With a one in a million chance of meeting one of only 6,000 astrophysicists in the world, audience members were lined up in order to have the opportunity to ask Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson a question on any and all galactic wonders they may have. About St. Petersburg College: In 1927, St. Petersburg College (then known as St. Petersburg Junior College) became Florida's first private, non-profit, two-year school of higher learning located in downtown St. Petersburg. Full accreditation followed in 1931 and in 1948 SPC became a public college. In June 2001, SPJC officially became St. Petersburg College when Florida's governor signed legislation making it the first community college in Florida to offer four-year degrees. On Dec. 11, 2001, the college received the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools' accreditation to offer courses leading to bachelor's degrees. In 2002, St. Petersburg College began offering courses leading to bachelor's degrees in Education, Nursing and Technology Management. The college's commitment to its two-year curriculum, which has earned it wide recognition and annually wins it high national rankings, remains as strong as ever. Today, SPC has eight learning sites throughout Pinellas County and recently became the first college in Florida to offer a four-year degree in Dental Hygiene. This program's offerings augment its two-year program, which has been in operation since 1963. SPC added four-year degrees in Veterinary Technology, Public Safety Administration and Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2005. College Accreditation St. Petersburg College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associates degrees and to offer courses leading to bachelor's degrees in the following areas: Banking, Nursing, Business Administration, Orthotics & Prosthetics, Elementary/Secondary Education, Paralegal Studies. Educational Studies. Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification. Dental Hygiene. Public Safety Administration. Health Services Administration. Sustainability Management. International Business. Technology Management. Management & Organizational Leadership. Veterinary Technology. SPC also offers access to junior and senior level courses for bachelors and graduate degrees at the University Partnership Center. The UPC partners with the University of South Florida, University of South Florida at St. Petersburg, Eckerd College, University of Florida, Florida State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, University of Central Florida, Florida International University, Florida A&M University, Saint Leo University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida Institute of Technology, Barry University, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland State University, Indiana University, and St. Petersburg College.

that kid who said blackhole collide with blackhole are smart... yes truly.
-
Did that really take 1 hr 28 minutes. ..???? how time flies. .
-
And yet we pet the chimps and eat others animals... they will probably do the same to us.

What if, the story of multi-universe is true, however, we don't see it because it's not positioned in a 3rd dimensional space. Then how is it true? well, the 2nd dimensional assumptions we make shouldn't be able to be reasonable on thinking or imagining a 3rd dimension. Therefore, the four dimensions exist and it doesn't at the same time towards our perspective. it could make sense that since our perspectives of a third dimensional space is space and time, then the four dimension is not a place but something that can move trough space and time. Perhaps, our perception of god?. Since we are form by particles that are part of the universe, then the assumption that we are similar to the universe should turn to be more to an assumption that we are the universe. Now, this sounds crazy, but then again the second dimensional does not understand a 3rd dimensional curve. Now, if we are part of the universe then we should be as complex, and our anatomy is closely as complex as the universe. Then, perhaps a 4th dimension is reachable but we have not evolve far enough yet. In other words, maybe 4th dimension is just as complex as evolving our brains. If toddlers truly were be able to understand quantum mechanics, then an adult life could be assumed just as perfect computational entities. Then if our brain could be that complex and ti could understand that we are the universe ,then perhaps our brain could distortion space and time it self but this implies that the four dimension is not a place but an state of mind beyond human. I think this could make sense as it compares with the differences from the 3rd and 2nd dimensions that we can assume. The second dimension will never be the same if it understood the movement of Z even for an instance, a second, perhaps, a big bang? A moment of birth for understanding and enlightenment?. From there is simple, why we haven't evolve to this? simple for our sociological status in a global scale. wouldn't be utopia just a world wide government in which we use the most sustainable use of our planet and the most optimal life is made possible to all? Then again we got politics, patriotism and nationalism to stop our evolution. And it's proven that all people united can open minds to bigger states of mind like in this interview. Once a question solve, new ones merges then in a perfect computational mind or minds could made evolution happen as all resources are use at it's best potential and it's sustainable by our planet without harming it. As an example of how our social life impact us this interview wouldn't had been possible in the 20's,30's,40's and so on until the social life changed in America. And if questions like this wouldn't be answer, we would have to wait until some one can. There are more reasons why society in a global scale is separated, until we don't solve it under any government, we will not be able to evolve fast enough to stop global warming before it stop us. Just ask the planet Mars. just a theory.

Oh that kid. "Could a black hole suck in another black hole?" Little did he know, that bloop showed us that gravitational waves exist. :')

there is people here that knew for sure! that Pluto was mickey's dog! ... so they become really upset when Neil DeGrasse said it is not! its a planet!! That's is why they are now calling him stupid ;) just like little kids when they are told there is no santa klauss

Birds supposedly have reptilian ancestors....please tell me facts that support a) solid bones became hollow, b) cold blooded became warm blooded, c) two legs became wings;d) two legs became perching feet;e) the bellows lung respiratory system evolved into the complex lung/air sac and cross flow system, f) how poor eye sight became elite eyesight, g) how the soft leathery eggs became hard bird eggs;h) how immobile reptiles evolved the ability to migrate thousands of milesI) how burrowing reptiles evolved the ability to build a nestj) how scales evolved into feathers.
Thank you I look forward to your science answers! -
If a person imprisoned in empirical logic desires to accept the reality of the universe only to the extent permitted him by sensory experience and to deny whatever lies beyond that, he must recognize that this is a path he has chosen for himself; it is not the result of scientific investigation and experiment. This kind of pseudo-intellectualism arises from intellectual rebellion and an abandonment of one's original nature. The god that the natural scientist wishes vainly to "prove" with his tools and instruments is, in any event, no god at all in the view of those who worship God.

His interaction with that kid is the best.

The reason why europeans didn't complain about pluto is because they still say that pluto is a planet (Science museum of london) for example still does as to last year.
And in schools around europe to, kids still learn that pluto is a planet.
Basicly looks like the schools in europe don't care to update their knowlage -
Amazing video, I love watching this videos of people like him. Give me hope in humanity

Why is pissed off censored? Is this not a college? Do you really want to convey to the world that you are only comfortable using the vocabulary of 7 year olds?
