Cosmic Journeys - Glimpsing the Solar System's Birth
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Where do you look to glimpse the birth of a solar system like ours? Our sun is thought to have formed along with a range of stellar siblings. This star cluster likely moved out on its own, bound by gravity, in what astronomers call a "Moving Group." This video explores two nearby moving groups. M67, also known as the King Cobra Cluster, was once pegged as the birth place of our solar system. The evidence now says it's not, but astronomers have now detected planets there. The other is the Beta Pictoris group, with the most famous of all solar systems in formation, Beta Pictoris. Find out how a solar system is taking shape within the fold of this hot star. Does eating ice cream while watching space videos cause changes in Earth's rotation?

I can't wait for the James Webb telescope! Come on 2018!!

Planets do not form by gravitationally attracting particles. When those supposed clumps of material get to a certain size and collide with another clump of similar size, the velocity indirectly causes the two clumps to SHATTER, not clump together. How quickly did Earth cool? Wrong question. How quickly did it heat up? Halos.com. YouTube: Stretching The Heavens A New Cosmology.

The gas is being resupplied or maybe it's only thousands of years old.

So-called "Star formation:" Think about it, if u see a spot getting brighter, it's not necessarily a new star forming. It could just be dust moving out of the way of a star that is already there! DUH! Besides, haven't u learned about Boyle's gas laws? When gas is compressed, it heats up & drives itself apart. It takes enormous pressure 2 keep gas compressed. Cold gas in space would also heat up if it was contracted by outside influences. Google: science vs evolution Pathlights. Theoretically, it takes 20 stars to EXPLODE SIMULTANEOUSLY NEAR EACH OTHER to produce enough pressure 2 form a brand new star. That has never been observed. A more logical explanation is that stars were CREATED in equilibrium since it is impossible for a gas cloud to condense, by gravity, into a star, regardless of how massive the cloud is since the more gas u have, the more the heated gas wants to EXPAND, PREVENTING formation of a star by purely naturalistic means.

I would like to see a time frame meter calibrated to light speed when they go zooming through so many stars like they were specks of dust.
-
What are all those sparkly things floating by? I hope you're not going to say stars for if you are, then how fast are we moving through space 1 million times ftl? Please a little more realism!

It would have been great to have glimpsed the birth of our solar system, but none of us were there 6000 years ago when God created it.

One of the less enticing image thumbnails, clicked, found one of the most interesting videos I've seen in such a long time... WOW
