This woman disguises her latent disdain for the autonomy of the various peoples of the world

this lady has no ideal of reality she thinks because she wants to believe that there is some good that guides humanity belief does't make it so. You're find that power and control has been the guideing force that has propell humanity to this very day even when the good of all is what there selling.

The exploration of the cosmos as an interconnected whole - and "cosmic consciousness" as redefined here - is an awesome concept. However it was not necessary to dismiss phenomenological research into unique states of consciousness that may indeed provide valid insight into the nature of the universe and consciousness itself. Dismissing all subjective exploration as "woo woo" is throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Subjective experience is a valid observational domain and science is crippled when the subjective domain is dismissed.
Who knows, there may well be an "informational domain" that is accessible to consciousness and hosted by quantum informational phenomena which is supported by spacetime but not limited by it. -
Stop redefining words and waffling on about semantics! Academics like this really annoy me. They ride on the coat tails of other scientists then try to redefine and undermine their work.
If she really had a point she should go and create her own theory. -

Hubris alert, 1:20 -NO ONE can conclusively validate or invalidate another persons INNER experience. If Burke felt he experienced cosmic consciousness, then HE DID ! At 3:55 by using 'vague woo-woo sense' in regards to the term cosmic she overtly pokes fun at Burke. This is very disappointing. 8:05 There is no spiritual realm that is outside the universe? How you can say that? You have no proof. You are not the authority on the secrets of the universe. Is anyone listening to this talk awake? Overall this is not a good talk. The speaker is not up to the task to communicate this topic. You can tell she is having a hard time communicating clear points. 13:00 Midgard? Do we HAVE to use a WHITE Euro-centric term? Haven't Europeans pushed their concepts on the world long enough? At least use a neutral term for the physical world. It's common that a claimed foundation on science is twisted to suit an individuals fairy tale new age marketing schtick. You want to know the secret of the universe and taste cosmic consciousness? Go meditate enough to realize that what you seek has been within you since before you were born. You are the consciousness of the universe connected to everything else, everywhere else, all at once, and you look out for the cosmos through your own eyes. What you feel inside, when you are calm, is the entire cosmos. Paramahansa Yogananda and Inayat Khan brought this message to the USA.

Very good presentation!!! Cheers
-
She did a lot of talking for not really saying anything.
-
Attachment to the material is what creates all the the confusion: "There is no spoon." Cheers.
-
the cosmic urboros, this is a brilliant idea which is basically saying that everything is a vector of itself, so every layer of reality is one. differs in size naturally
-
Fantastic! Thanks for the best talk on "cosmic consciousness" currently available. Unfortunately Chopra ruined the last few seconds to misrepresent her definition of consciousness to fit into his own bunk.

Brilliant

I never thought of the Big Bang as articulated in this Symposium. Is it then safe to postulate that the birth of Consciousness began with the Big Bang? I am now more curious about Dark Matter i.e., the Cosmic Horizon, but I'm equally intrigued by the gravitational forces contained within the clusters of the Universe... What is gravity metaphorically equivalent to within Spirituality? ...... Wow!!!!
