Cosmetology School: Paul Mitchell, Aveda, & etc

1. Euphoria Institute is a good program!
2. i currently attend douglas j aveda in grand rapids michigan. i love the school i love being there. But ive been feeling the same way about the same topics you have mentioned. When you color someones hair usually its a 1 to 1 ratio. Aveda is a lot different, its more indepth and their concept behind it is if you can color hair at aveda. Formulation anywhere else will be no problem for you. The only thing i didnt like was my family had an issue and i had to miss days and they made me take a leave, when i was only one day over the missing days. There were other people that missed as well but they are still enrolled. I feel thing happen for a reason but i feel just because the name of the school is good doesnt always mean anything. cosmetology is based on what creative skills you have. How much passion you have etc. I honestly feel you should talk to them about attendance policys as well because you want a school that is understanding when life happens. Aveda wasnt so much and me trying to get ahold of the lady to attend back is making me want to possibly transfer. Dont get me wrong aveda is a great great school. Just some of the things i dont understand that they do.

5. I heard both schools have a good rep. But I also want to learn how to do sewin's. Do you recommend these school for that?? SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER.

8. Paul Mitchell. Aveda is snotty and they treat people like crap. Paul Mitchell is more you. I went to Mak beauty institute in cumming ga and it was only 6300 and a nightmare: hated it and no instructor!!! No real theory! You pay for you what you get in life!

13. We only learn manicure, pedicure, and gellish. No acrylics or designs

18. Neither school teaches alot of makeup
19. Your income dosent matter you can get grant money and student loans. I ended up going to Aveda and they have a good reputation and you should not have a problem finding a salon
