It is not true that M is in space
-
Earlier this year I recall reading that the letter-in-space animations referenced an ad campaign for Mercury cars. Those Mercury ads must have run when I was too young to remember Sesame Street; I saw the letter cartoons in kindergarten but never connected them with anything on commercial TV.

It's for the alphabet jungle game

These sound effects were originally used by Horta-Mahana Corp, who worked very closely
with Filmation Associates in the early and mid 1970s-Ralph Bakshi also used Horta-Mahana in his 1976 movie "WIZZARDS", these were sound effects men Sam Horta
and George Mahana-who both have impressive credentials! Sam Horta was a film editor
on the original "BATMAN" TV series at Fox. -
M is for Mars!
-
It definitely is.
-
And YES, in the latter half of this cartoon, as the M zooms towards its destination, and then as it gets there, that DOES sound like Sonia Manzano(Maria on the show), saying "M!!!"
-
The Z cartoon was here on YouTube, but it seems to have been pulled. It would be great to see it again, as well as the V and the M cartoons. Oh, well, at least the V and M ones are still available, at the moment.

Does anyone have any of the three neon letter films?(there were three, one of the letter R, one of O, and one of H-each letter being pulled up to the roof of the Empire Hotel, in Manhattan, I recently found out, was the building used in each of the three films.) They were on YouTube, but recently got pulled(the R and O films were, but not the H film.) Anyway, it would be great, to see all three of those on YouTube.

I always liked to be creative, and use my imagination, by imagining it was MARS(or Mercury, or the MOON, that the M is landing on, at the end), and same difference in the V cartoon(V for VENUS, that it lands on, at the end, and as for the Z cartoon, the ZENITH, in the sky, that the Z lands "on" or in.) Pretty creative, eh?
-
It's probably is her doing it!
-
At the end, the voice sounds an awful lot like Sonia Manzano (Maria).
-
@kaitiscarlett They should have done a "Q in space"!
-
