Space Invaders: The Original Game review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow import review of Space Invaders: The Original Game for Super Famicom. Yeah. It's Space Invaders. If you haven't played Space Invaders by now... well, it's getting to the age where you might not have, which kinda makes me sad. That said, from today's vantage point, it's alarmingly simple, the gameplay is very repetitive, and the sound is almost laughable. But now there's a 2-player version! Behold the power of the 16-bit era. Miyazaki Yasuaki knows what I'm talking about. Whoever or wherever he is. (I'm working on a couple leads.) This video review features video gameplay footage of Space Invaders: The Original Game for Super Famicom and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ. I know like 5 guys named Miyazaki. One of them probably owned that copy of this game, but I doubt it

Young gamers say old arcade games like Space Invaders are simple and boring, but the thing that really turns them off is they can't get the satisfaction of beating the game as they do with modern home games which is all what younger and modern gamers care about, beating the game. That idea of arcade games such as Space Invaders was to be easy to learn games, yet difficult so that the player would quickly lose and have to keep feeding the machine money to keep playing.

im remaking space invaders like it was in the old days for a project, its actually really nice remembering the days sitting infront of it playing :') dem feels
-
I remember playing this when i was 4 (1978)
-
If this game's controllable character had an armament of Donpachi series, the game would lose all its challenge.
-
play space invaders extreme on the ds and your eyes are going to blown into your skull because of the flashy backgrounds :D
-
2 dislikes: First one is Miyazaki for wanting his old game back Second is that guy that player 2 in the multi player part for getting his ass handed to him

I grew up in the non-internet era i was very exciting to wait the month magazine to see some new games. Those were MY DAYS, MY GOOD OLD DAYS!!!!

You don't really make a point as to why this was any better.
-

-
"TJ's amazing quest to find original owner of some Super Famicom game,"..... I would pay to see that, just saying.

Maybe my Vectorman 1 and 2, the Eccos, Rocket Knight, Robocop VS Terminator and a whole bunch of other Genesis, SNES and NES games will end up on someone's youtube too someday...and I'll never know because unlike Miyazaki here I never wrote my name on my carts :( or Maybe I'm lucky and the cartridges are still here at home somewhere, but I couldn't find them last time I looked for them.
