So, let me get this straight.
With a Schmidt-Cassegraine, I can do both visual astronomy & astrophotography with one unit?
Unlike the other scopes? -
a friend of mine think these image are drawing or fake and though he use one for moon!
seriously... -
I am ordering a Celestron 1100 EdgeHD CGEM DX this week with Hyperstar and a ZWO ASI1600MC. I was thinking about the 1400, but think it will be too much for AP on a CGEM DX mount. The Pro mount is out of the question do to the weight, as I intend on taking it places. What camera are you using?

Some great work there! Thanks for posting. Looked at the 8" Edge but why not go straight to the 11? lol

Hi Juan... how did you process the Saturn picture? did you use specific s/w tools?

I have owned a telescope for years, but it is not computerized or anywhere near as powerful or stable as this one. I have seriously been considering investing in one like this, perhaps the CGEM DX 1400 HD Computerized, one day. From this video, it seems that while I may be able to see the planets at a slightly larger size in the lens, they will still be quite fuzzy. Would I even be able to see nebula, supernova, and galaxies in an enjoyable manner, or would I need to also invest in a camera (for long-exposure imaging) in order to actually see them in any kind of detail? I am really wondering what the visual experience is like when viewing deep space through the lens. Thanks in advance for your answer!
