Brilliant tutorial. Thank you!

Can this proses be used for narrow band filter images as well?
-
This is SUPERB! The best tutorial for LRGB that I've seen. Now to have a go!
-
Very very helpful. Thanks

Wow, that was a great tutorial. Are their any videos, or sites, you could recommend to show the process of capturing the different frames, through the filter wheel?
A more hands-on, in the field kind of video? I'm interested to know how the mechanics of the camera work while shooting through each filter on the wheel. Do you choose the same exposure time for each channel? Also, I'm still in the dark about how "darks" and "lights" work together (no pun intended). -
This really helped with a few key concepts of combining the LRGB images. Thanks for posting

Great video tutorial David. This is going to help me a great deal when I eventually get some LRGB data. Really easy to follow instructions without having to pause and try and keep up.

THANK YOU SIR SO MUCH

Hey David. Thanks for this awesome video. Been working on a photo myself. I found, however, that my colour channels don't quite align. Looks like there was some drift between the images. So when each stack is made from each colour set, the final LRGB frames don't quite work. Any idea how to correct that without manually rotating/sliding each of the frames so they line up?

Thank you very much! Now i can say that I'm able to shot with DSLR and with monochrome + LRGB filters!
This was the only tutorial about LRGB channel combination that was useful to me!! i feel ready to jump up from DSLR to Monochrome ccd! -
Nice info! but aren't you breaking the 600 rule with those long exposures?
