Aliens are us. We are on stage of traveling the universe. One day those species living on that planet will see us. So we are the alines.
Why humans draw aliens creepy and ugly? Very racist isn't it? -
The math can easily show the odds of communicating or hearing alien signals are negligible. And scientists have not been able to create any life from simple base chemicals. They have not even formed any life precursor structures. If it was a likely possibility then you would see random life precursor structures forming in the lab sporadically but perhaps just not surviving. But that doesn't happen which means it's extraordinarily unlikely. This is an area where the irreducible complexity advocates have a point, first life. After first life, irreducible complexity theory falls apart.

Of course life exists out there. Statistically speaking it's IMPOSSIBLE that we're the only island of life in a possibly infinite universe. The uncertainty principle backs this up as well if you apply the reasoning behind it.

humans always see themselves as the center of the universe or somehow unique. it's not even an argument. the sheer size of the universe and number of planets is enough to confirm extraterrestrial life. drake wasted his time with that equation. how could anyone rationally say that only one planet,earth, out of the entire universe has life. I'll go as far as to say even intelligent life exists somewhere out there with just as or maybe even more intelligence than us.
The evolutionary conditions to cause a species to be as intelligent as ours is gonna be much more rare too. however, relative to the universe's size, there might still be thousands and thousanfs of different intelligent species as intelligent or more than our own. it's a pretty neat thing to think about. especially when you are looking at the night sky. -

I do believe that we earthlings are not alone in the universe. But whether the other lifeforms on other planets are intelligent, complex beings I am unsure.
