theres loads of saturn 5 parts on the bottom of the pod

you can tell that the original model builders kit bashed airfix apollo saturn 5 parts...the inserts in the bells are from the 2nd stage of an apollo 5....and the round bits on the sites of the legs are the base to the command module of the saturn 5

Oh wow thank you so much that's brilliant I'm going to have a look. Sadly the hobbie store situation where I live now is now existence. So stuck to whatever I can find online.

Hi could you help ?? basically can you match a Evergreen tube. To the size of the standard tube size to the Eagle please. I wouldn't ask just don't have any or can gauge from a ruler. Just trying to convert the rear engines to season 2 pipe work. The tubes I have won't stick even with super and Gorilla. Hope you read this soon. Cheers John

Hi thank you for so much help sadly the File tool is a stupid price. I paid a ridiculous price for the Alclad. But cheaper than a new metal set of engine bells. Hopefully last question what did you use to thin your Alclad with. I have enamel as well as tamiya thinners so hopefully one should work lol. My kit is basically just a bunch of glued bits at the moment. I purchased the water soluble filler you used on your Johnny Quest ship. I plan on using it for the cone when I finish light blocking the interior. Still searching for 1/48 figures to match the Alphas base uniforms. I had also thought of using the 2001 Moonbus crew.

To help solve the bleedthrough of the red paint it might help to use bare metal foil as a means of masking.
It has the ability to conform to the shape.
I use it for masking off canopies after I read an article in fine scale modeler magazine where was used on a 1/72 scale B-52 -
Hi sorry but if you haven't mentioned already. Where did you purchase the sanding tool you use. The one that looks like a mini bow saw ?. I started building mine only to use a full tube of filler and some old sandpaper I wish I hadn't kept. So stocking up on Tamiya sandpaper and buying the clear orange nice touch. But really after ones that look like Alpha uniforms obbosed to spacesuits.
Thanks in advance -
one of the things that makes me hesitate on buildind space kits (1999 or any) is that i actually rhink that with lights they looks better... and i don t understand dick of electronics... great work!

im thinking the bleed might be helped by doing it super thin multiple coats
-
hey i like the blue looks like a new type of eagle lol

The metallic finish on the engines turned out great. Love the red-white painting of the cargo pod. Keep having fun.

As always Oggie, your problem solving skills are excellent. I'm considering an orange VIP pod as there will be far less masking! I look forward to part 4. All the best.
