Brian Wilson - Solar System

Music from "The Beach Boys Love You". The opening bit of wonky synth is from the old educational film I got the visuals from -- it seems to fit with Brian's Moog. Some amount of suspension of disbelief may be required for the performance segments. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show, I should really just relax." Super-special thanks to user brianwishson for the awesome Brian footage.

At least they put stars in the background, whether they're in the right spots or not, unlike the fake moon landing videos with no stars.

I find the added intro an excellent idea!

One of the very cool songs from this era...especially from Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys as they were in this period..history will judge...; but I Judge Awesome!

Ethereal and Spacey. Timeless music from Our Brightest Star.

This is the best video I've ever seen for a Brian Wilson / Beach Boys song, including both professional and homemade attempts! Your visuals actually enhance the loopy humor, raw emotion & poignancy of one of the Brian Wilson songs I've loved as much as any other for around 25 years. For anyone who's having trouble getting into the wonderful but often at first baffling "Love You" album, this is just about the best place I can think of to start--fantastic work! P.S. I bet Brian would love this!

This is Brian's cocaine/heroin yrs, it was also his 2nd attempt to go solo and is off of my favorite Beach Boys album "the beach boys love you" originally titled Brian Loves You. The band had failed at motivating BW to contribute to most of the records after Smile failed due in part to Mike Love bullying Van Dyke Parks about his "bizarre hippy dippy incomprehensible lyric and Brian's to high to realize it because you lured yourself into Brians head with drugs" After Smile Brian would tell the

The footage of Brian was from a t.v. show that he played good vibrations on. I don't know if he was nervous or messed up a little, but he played several mistakes. Not that I care, just to even get a live stripped down version of Good vibrations in itself is amazing!

Alex Chilton use to do this one in concert.

Check it out. Brian is playing his piano in the sandbox. Nice video.
