Boss DC-2 Dimension C vs Behringer CC300 Space-C
About | Information | History | Online | Facts | Discovery
Comparison of a Boss DC-2 Dimension C and a Behringer CC300 Space-C. Fender American Standard Stratocaster - DI - Computer (For clean parts) These recordings were then sent to the pedals individually, so the takes are exactly the same each time: Computer - Boss DC-2/Behringer CC300 (Stereo output) - DI - Softube Vintage Amp Room (Brown Amp) No further processing except normalisation. The stereo image is from the pedals themselves, a multiple amp and stereo microphone setup would not best reflect what the pedals do. As a result, I felt amp emulation was better suited to demonstrate these pedals.

Agree that the Boss seems to have a little more finesse; the Behringer has a more overt phase-y characteristic. I'm guessing it either the relative volume of the delayed signal to the dry signal is different (i.e. in the Behringer, the delayed signal is mixed louder in relation to the dry signal than it is in the Boss), or that the equalization of the delayed signal is different in each pedal. Anyway, both are great. I've always preferred this style of chorus to the "traditional" CE-2 style chorus, which always seems more out-of-tune.

The boss sounds better as in subtler. The behringer is more warbly and standard chorusy.

I preferred the Boss it's more subtle and more flange like, but the behringer is nice

The Boss sounds more "brilliant" but in this comparison i liked the Behringer better (except for mode 4)
