Shot with a Nikon D5300 and edited with Final Cut X. Cinematography, Costumes, Make-up (aka "Blank Face"): Melat Demeke Filmed on location at http://TurntableHealth.com. And a special thanks to Taylor Swift for "Blank Space," of which this little ditty is a parody. Thanks Tay Tay! #OMG Finally, with regards to narcotic addiction, prescription drug abuse, and drug seekers in general, remember: don't hate the player, hate the game. It's the disease of addiction we need to fight, not the person who is suffering.

So many mixed feelings. People who are addicted to prescription drugs make it so much harder for people like me who actually need them and never do these drug seeking behaviors

Thank you for your use of opiate crisis. Getting our asses kicked over here in St.Louis. Here are a few videos I made concerning the crisis. What do you think doc?

I had a bad break in my left ankle and the day of my surgery my orthopedic surgeon gave me some kind of block in my hip that made me not have any pain for 24 hours. I stayed overnight and didn't have a bit of pain. Excellence!
My pain doctor gave me two nerve ablations in my sacroiliac joint and one in between L4 and L5. No pain! None! I hope more people have a good pain doctor like I do because he looks for a way to get rid of pain without opiates. -
This video made me so sad because I really feel bad for the people who have become opiate addicts. When she says "I was young, I was reckless. I took things too far. Never thought I'd get addicted. Now I'm trying to score a fix in your ER". So sad.
However, I don't have any sympathy for the nurse who tried to steal my dying father's liquid morphine and liquid sedatives while he was in a nursing home the last week of his life. He was dying of pulmonary fibrosis and she was a new hire who thought no one was keeping track. Ha! I had been his sole caregiver for 4-1/2 years and knew his schedule well. Anyway, she falsified the records, tried to say she didn't have the meds in his drawer, and then when hospice descended upon her with a fury she still tried to tell me she gave him his morphine when what she gave was only the sedative. Hello? As if I don't know one bottle from the other? She couldn't fool someone who has done the job 24 hours a day for years on end. I was so glad that the hospice nurses got there in about 10 minutes, informed the director of nursing, and took care of business. I thank hospice for everything they did.
Taking care of my parents has made me want to be a nurse. -
I was enjoying this...and then I realized I was crying. My younger brother is an addict and that's how it started. Real pain, got some meds, liked how they made him feel a little too much. Started getting them on the street when he couldn't get them from the doctor. When he couldn't get pills, he got heroin. He has overdosed (clinically dead) multiple times. He has been to rehab multiple times. He is (I hope and pray it's true) clean right now after another stint. The lines, "I took things way too far, never thought I'd get addicted", "being hooked on these narcs is like torture"- There is so much truth in this song, all wrapped up in a package that people will actually listen to. Simple, straightforward, but it tells the story. I wanted to thank you for putting it out there. As an aside, I bet you are amazing at communicating with your patients!

Dogg, have you considered approaching high schools or middle health classes with this "educational" video? It will certainly grab you impressionable kids' attention.

What helps men, sooth their mental attitude and decrease their pain? Alcohol, marijuana – yes, well if it makes them feel so great, we should just make that shit legal, never did any harm-right?

As female healthcare provider, I don’t know where to begin. I am offended as a woman that you choose to make this video. As the gatekeeper of drugs, yes you do see many people that “claim” their pain is a 10 and roll your eyes-because you’ve seen some serious shit… and then there’s your loyal patients. The patients who do have pain, who have broken their spines, been twisted in severe accidents, TBI – you will never know how they feel, they come in on days they are not in pain and have to fucking beg to get a medication that will help them.
What helps men sooth their mental attitude and decrease their pain? Alcohol, marijuana – YES, well if it makes them feel so great, we should just make that shit legal!! Never did any harm-right? But women found something that helps make them feel “normal” and we lock that shit up and then make videos to show how “crazy” they are, how unreal for a woman to feel pain, right? We don’t suffer from fibromyalgia or MS or broken back syndrome or you know all those other things that heal with a snap of the fingers. She’s not working construction all day, she can only have a human come out of her nana. So let’s keep on believing a man’s pain story and disregard that housewife who has never worked a day in her life! Aaaand I’m sure and in THIS countrywith all it’s lavish infrastructureno woman deserves it anyway. Thanks for singling us crazies out! oh but your other vids are cool. -
Addiction is a hideous, deceptive, and cruel disease that is very capable of killing the addict. It not only affects the addict, but it also affects anyone associated to the addict one way or another. Unfortunately usually not in a positive manner. Everyone affected needs to reach out for the help that is available to them. If we all work together we can find the answers and make positive decisions that affect the entire human society.

I got my wisdom teeth out last week. Bottom left became a dry socket and hurt like hell, so I had to take Norco (Hydrocodone/Acetominophen) all the time. It's powerful stuff. No wonder people get addicted to opiods.

I absolutely love this video! A less dry way of raising awareness of the opiate epidemic plaguing prescribers and patients. Thank you.
