"Blackhole" Zoom vs Eventide, Space compared to MS70CDR H9 reverb

http://www.guitarlessonssarasota.com/ Heres a demo video compared the Zoom with the Eventide Blackhole algorithm. The Zoom is a copy of this particular effect. I am using the H9 and the MS70CDR in stereo into the soundcard. The guitar is a Cabronita with HS Filtertrons and the amp is the Atomic AmpliFIRE Vox model with Alnico Blue Redwirez IR cabinet.

Comparing a $100 pedal to a $300-$500 pedal, yep, this is a dead brain planet. Please send me all your Strymon and Eventide pedals and I will ship you a MS70CDR right away.

Thank you for the demo. I have the Zoom 70 CDR and use it for ambient. Very satisfied

It could just be the settings, but to my ears the Eventide has a high end presence that the Zoom doesn't, while the Zoom's effect sits behind the guitar. Both usable sounds, just a bit different.

I have both the Zoom MS70 and MS100, and I highly recommend these units! Once a friend gave me his Eventide Space to try out, so I was able to compared its emulations on the MS70. And I was really surprised how close the Zoom sounds to the Eventide. Actually I better like the Mangle Verb on the Zoom! Of course the real thing has more headroom and can do things the Zoom wont, but for the price and for live setups these Multistomp pedals are just brilliant!

$400-700 vs $70 off CL - I went with the CDR for my board's swiss army knife. A no-brainer really.

I think eventide has more sparkle high end than zoom but I like the zoom a lot

Zoom effects are underrated ... To be fair I would add a slight flange after the verb on zoom ...but not sure if zoom comes with stereo flanger
